LEWISBURG – A Lewisburg man was sentenced to up to 60 years in prison on Monday after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a child. The Daily Item reports 38-year-old Eric Aikey was found guilty in May on nine counts of sex-related crimes. Aikey must also register as a sex offender for life on Megan’s List. He was freed on $1 bail in June 2014 because he was not brought to trial within 180 days by the Northumberland County District Attorney’s office. He was charged on August 22, 2013 with sexually assaulting a child under the age of 15. (Ali Stevens) Follow
